EMU Bright Futures has a network of dedicated partners, each bringing their special expertise and contribution. These businesses, associations, foundations, government agencies, and universities have been instrumental in the development and operation of EMU Bright Futures. They have dedicated their time, services, and heart to making this program what it is today.

  • University of Michigan School of Education Interactive Communications & Simulations: Develops online mentoring, poetry writing, simulations.  http://ics.soe.umich.edu/
  • Community Records: Develops clubs where students write, record and burn original songs and beats to CD’s.
  • 826Michigan: Multiple projects relating to writing including writing and performing plays, writing a newspaper, poetry, etc. http://www.826michigan.org/
  • Wayne-Westland Health and Welfare: Community-based collaboration in Wayne Westland with local government, schools, community based organizations, churches
  • Westland Public Library: Multiple programs including family programs at the library.  http://westland.lib.mi.us/

  • Ypsilanti Township Recreation:  Develops summer recreation opportunities, including golf, arts and crafts and wollyball
  • Westland Recreation: Provides opportunities for field trips and shares resources for clubs
  • Red Wagon Literacy Program: Brings and distributes wagonloads of books to our programs at Lincoln and Jefferson Barns Elementary.
  • Greater Works Youth Empowerment: Provides young men’s leadership support to our students
