Program Description

Willow Run Middle School

Bright Futures/21st Century Community Learning Center at Willow Run Middle School provides students with an opportunity to enjoy after-school and summer programming in a safe environment with adult supervision.

School Year

Monday ~ Thursday, 2:45 p.m.~5:45 p.m. in the Secondary Complex

During the school year, students receive a snack, work on homework, and participate in exciting clubs like balloon creations, cooking without a stove, Tae Kwon Do, swimming, Recharge football, designing, Abrakadoodle, and gooey concoctions. Students are involved in the planning, scheduling, and organization of the program.  Part of the focus of the program is to assist 6th graders with the transition into middle school, and to assist 8th graders with the transition into high school. For the 2010-2011 school year we are excited to continue with Great to Be a Girl and the David Academy to our program as leadership training for our students. While our main goal is to provide services to students, we also include parents families, teachers, and the community in our program activities.
